Meet Priscila Fadul, Founder of Lendava

Meet Priscila Fadul, mother, engineer and the founder of Lendava. Originally from Argentina, Priscila is currently based in Miami, Florida with her growing family. The new mom has twin boys and another child on the way. In fact, in the midst of building her brand Priscila found out she was pregnant.

“On top of that, I was pregnant with twins. This actually made me feel like I was expecting triplets. Just a friendly reminder that women can do anything, and they can do it while they’re pregnant too, which is that much more impressive!” she stated.

Speaking of family, it turns out that working in the business of beauty is an inherited trait. Priscila grew up with the beauty industry coming from a family that has generations of experience including retailers and exclusive distribution rights to global prestige and luxury beauty brands in Latin America. It started with her great uncle who founded one of the earliest perfume stores in Argentina more than 50 years ago. Since then, he worked with his siblings and children to expand the business. Over time, the original store developed into a highly reputable beauty chain across the country known for its wealth of expertise.

Coming from a family with an immense background in the beauty industry, Priscila has always been in contact with different aspects of the skincare business. From a young age, she found herself completely fascinated by skincare and passionate about authentic beauty. She tried every new product her family distributed and spoke with many brilliant cosmetic chemists. Consequently, Priscila gained a deeper knowledge on the truth behind skincare products and their formulations.

As an engineer by trade, Priscila constantly prioritizes effectiveness and simplicity.

“After years of working to differentiate fact from fiction when it comes to skincare and seeing the excess of steps that brands encourage customers to use, I wanted to create something that was more streamlined, savvy, and pleasurable to use: a brand that would have all the necessary proven ingredients to care for my skin without excessive steps, and a brand that would also fit my modern, minimalist design aesthetic,” she explained.

That’s where Lendava comes in. The science-first skincare brand takes a minimalist approach to daily care with products that focus on optimal skin function.

“I created Lendava because I wanted something super straightforward and beautiful with a formula that matters. I’m not here to follow trends, I’m only focused on proven efficiency. So Lendava makes skincare with the right priorities: leveraging minimalism in its approach and proven ingredients at its core,”  Priscila shared.

Lendava sets itself apart from other brands with its elegantly engineered formulas made with only evidence-based actives and biotech ingredients put together in ideal proportions. The Lendava routine is streamlined, proving that one can experience the complete luxury and benefits of a multi-step skincare routine with just a few expertly-formulated products. The packaging is also refillable, encouraging customers to reuse rather than repurchase.

As a brand, Emilie Heathe upholds similar values which is why we are so excited to be partnering with Lendava for a Well-rounded Summer Giveaway. One lucky winner will receive The Savvy Duo Set from Lendava and The Classic Trilogy Set from Emilie Heathe. This giveaway closes on June 24th at 11:59pm EST.

Read on for a short interview with Priscila Fadul to learn more about herself and the brand.

What’s your go-to nail color?

Definitively nude.

When you need a confidence boost, what do you do or wear to feel polished and on top of your game?

Well … Coco Chanel once said “Keep your heels, head and standards high!”

Which colors make you feel most empowered?

I always feel more powerful when I wear all black.

What’s your favorite way to get some R&R?

Taking a warm bubble bath in a hot tub while indulging in some skin and hair care, going for a walk with my family or reading a book and disconnecting from social media.

What's one thing on your bucket list that you hope to accomplish in your lifetime?

Building a future home from the ground up!

What's one book, movie, or TV show that's had a big impact on your life?

“Branded Beauty” by Mark Tungate, this one studies the history and evolution of the beauty business and reveals the amazing stories behind the big brands of the space. I personally love everything that has to do with skin, always wanting to learn more, so I am constantly reading skincare related books.

What is the craziest skincare myth that you have ever heard, and why is it not true?

“The more products you use, the better.” Most people believe that any skincare issue can be solved with a new skincare product, so they end up with a crazy routine and a bathroom full of unused products. However, this rarely helps, as layering products exposes your skin to more and more irritating ingredients. You may be fixing one problem, but you are likely causing another by breaking down the skin's microbiome. The more complicated your skincare routine becomes, the more risk you introduce to your skin. Your skin is much more capable than you know!

What's the best beauty advice you've ever received and who gave it to you?

My chemists always tell me, “Skincare doesn’t need to be complicated, the formula is what matters.”

What is the most interesting skincare trend or innovation that you've seen emerge in the last few years?

The use of biotech ingredients to formulate skincare products. They're made with better quality control, so they're more reliable and can be better for the environment. Plus, they're often more effective and safer for customers!

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own beauty brand?

I have always believed that the key to success is working on something that you are proud of, something that you could talk about for hours, and that contributes to the greater good. It is essential to make a product that will make customers happy. Invest time in learning from other brand leaders, researching, and creating high-quality products. In my case, cosmetic formulation is a complex science, but when it comes to Lendava products, I spent a lot of time reading clinical studies, talking to my favorite formulation chemists, and keeping up to date with new developments in formulation and novel ingredients. The goal is always to let the product speak for itself!
