Tell us a little bit about yourself.

Hi, my name is Amy Roe and I'm the founder of BYROE New York.

What's a skincare rule you wholeheartedly live by?

Cleansing is the most important part of a healthy skincare routine. Because of this, I make sure to choose my cleansing products carefully and I thoroughly cleanse before moving onto the rest of my routine.

What's a skincare ingredient you think will trend in 2023?

I think we will see more glutathione-based and lactic acid-based skincare in 2023.

How do you celebrate the Lunar New Year? Do you have any special traditions?

I love spending time with my family in Korea. It is rare for us to spend time together as I live in the states. I make it a point to go to Korea often, especially for Lunar New Year so I can celebrate it together with my family.

What do you think the year of the Rabbit has in store for us all?

I believe 2023 will allow us the opportunity to reflect and be more intentional in how we spend our time and who we spend it with.

What inspired you to start your own company and why a skincare brand?

I'm extremely passionate about beauty, especially skincare but I always saw a gap in the industry when it came to clean products. Typically, they're not as efficacious nor do they deliver immediate skincare benefits. This is why I decided to create a brand that is clean but also rooted in creating clinically proven and results-driven formulas.

What is the meaning behind the name BYROE?

My last name is Roe, so BYROE means By + Roe.

What makes BYROE unique in comparison to the other brands?

We believe that what you put on your skin should be as healthy as what you choose to eat. Our clean, vegan formulas feature an array of salad and tea-infused ingredients that are optimized and enhanced with high-performance actives to maximize the "healthy diet" that is right for your skin's needs.
